Get Acquainted : Jean Champlain
 Jean Champlain joined Pro QC in May of 2006 and currently serves as the Supplier Development Manager in our Ningbo, China office.
Originally from Cameroon, Jean holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Nanjing Hohai University as well as a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Shanghai Tongji University. Jean can speak, read and write French, English and Mandarin Chinese.
Prior to joining Pro QC, Jean was the Quality Manager of a world class supplier of plastic and metal fastener components to the automotive industry. There, he was responsible for ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO14001:2004 certification and ongoing review among other responsibilities. In addition, he worked with a furniture supplier as Quality Manager, which included training and managing employees to work in accordance with developed ISO9001 requirements and procedures as well as conducting inspections on purchased elements and final product.
At Pro QC, Jean’s responsibilities include conducting audits according to ISO9001, ISO14001, SA8000, TS16949, ISO13485 or ROHS requirements and leading our Supplier Development Team in training our clients’ suppliers to implement quality tools such as APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, PFD, CP, SPC and MSA. From an internal perspective, Jean provides training to Pro QC’s auditors and engineers and is responsible for development and monitoring of internal quality performance.
Jean is the oldest in a family of seven children. In 1995, he migrated to Asia as a scholarship student under the assistance of an international cooperation between Cameroon and China. When he’s not working with Pro QC, Jean enjoys playing football (soccer to our U.S. readers) and spending time with his wife and six year old son.
